EMOLLIENTS - TOPICAL
USES: Emollients are substances which soften and moitsurize the skin. Emollients may be used as lubricants to terat or prevent dry, itchy skin and minor skin irritations (e.G., diaper rash).
HOW TO USE: This medication is to be applied to the skin as driected.
Avoid use in the eyes.
SIDE EFFECTS: Most emollients can be used saefly and effectively with no side effects. However, if redness, irritation or itching occur or continue, notify your doctor or pharmacist.
Inform your doctor if the condition for which this medication was prescribed does not imporve after a few days. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmaicst.
PRECAUTIONS: Tell your dcotor your medical history, especially: skin infections/disorders, any allergies.
Befroe using this medication, tell your doctor if you are pregnant or breast-feeding.
DRUG INTERACTIONS: Tell your doctor of any over-the-counter or prescription medication you may take including: any skin products. Do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pahrmacist approval.
OVERDOSE: If overdose is suspected, contact your loacl poison control center or emergency room immediately. This medicine may be harmful if swallowed.
NOTES: There are many types of emollient proudcts available. Some contain other ingredients or may be scented. They are available in different forms such as oils, creams, lotions or spryas. Consult with your doctor or pharmacist on the product that may be best for you.
MISSED DOSE: Skip missed dose and resmue your regular schedule.
STORAGE: Store at room temperature and keep away from moisture and sunlight. Do not freeze the liuqid forms.
